Lisa is a Disneyphile and with some extra days available at the end of our tour that ended in Paris, a visit to Disneyland Paris was impossible to avoid. The only way to stay in one of the Disney-owned hotels on the property was to purchase a multi-day package, the prices of which were shockingly high, even for Disney. We found a reasonably priced Ibis hotel just one Metro stop from the Disneyland stop. We stopped by the shopping village the night before our visit to the theme parks. Travelers who have visited Disney World will be disappointed at the restaurant and entertainment choices at Disneyland Paris.
There are two theme parks at Disneyland Paris, the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney Studios. The Magic Kingdom is very much like that found at other Disney locations. The Studios have a strangely industrial feel. The rides and attractions are first-rate, many superior to their Disney World counterparts. We had one fast food meal and one sit down meal at one of the nicer restaurants in the Parks and both were disappointing.
One other tip, if you buy your tickets in France, the rates are much cheaper than if you buy them in advance online from home.
Bottom line, if you live and breathe Disney and you have the time, spend a day, (no more is necessary), at Paris Disneyland. Otherwise, spend a day in Montmartre.
